PURPOSE STATEMENT
The CFC Kids Director leads and supports all ministry efforts for children from six weeks through fifth grade at Christ Family Church. By creating a safe, welcoming, and spiritually vibrant environment, the Director equips both kids and Serve Team members to follow God, grow together in faith, and serve others with joy. Through intentional leadership, thoughtful preparation, and partnership with families, this role helps the next generation experience the life-changing love of Jesus in age-appropriate and engaging ways.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Overseeing all CFC Kids ministry environments (Nursery, Preschool, Elementary) during Sunday services and special events
• Recruiting, training, scheduling, and equipping Serve Team members across all CFC Kids roles
• Preparing and distributing lesson plans, supplies, classroom schedules, and materials each week
• Maintaining and updating all CFC Kids policies, procedures, and safety protocols (including diapering, restroom, illness, and allergy guidelines)
• Implementing Planning Center Online (PCO) for scheduling, availability, and communication with Serve Team members
• Leading Pre-Service Huddles and weekly prayer and planning for the CFC Kids team
• Ensuring all rooms are clean, safe, and properly reset after each service
• Maintaining the CFC Kids Manual and coordinating Serve Team trainings and refreshers
• Providing spiritual care and encouragement to team members and families
• Creating a structured, engaging classroom experience that includes worship, Bible teaching, activities, and small groups
• Collaborating with church staff to support family events such as Child Dedication, Baptism, and Graduation Sunday
• Coordinating the paging system and parent communication for safety or behavior concerns
• Ensuring secure check-in/check-out procedures are followed in partnership with the Security and Check-Out Teams
• Managing classroom supply inventory, equipment needs, and storage organization
• Creating a culture of encouragement, excellence, and Christlike service among the team
• Attending weekly staff meetings and participating in cross-ministry planning and communication
PAY & HOURS
This is a part-time position with an expected commitment of 10 hours per week. Compensation is $200. Hours may vary slightly based on church events or seasonal needs, but every effort will be made to maintain a healthy and sustainable rhythm.
